Pocket alternatives for iPhone and Mac in 2026
Mozilla shut Pocket down. New downloads stopped on May 22, 2025, the service went export-only on July 8, 2025, and the export window closed in November 2025. If your saves lived there, they now need a new home.
This guide compares four apps people move to from Pocket on iPhone and Mac: Raindrop.io, Anybox, GoodLinks and Tuck. We make Tuck, so we have tried to keep the comparison to facts each app documents itself, and to say plainly where another app is the better choice.
The short answer
- You need Windows, Android or a web app too: Raindrop.io.
- You want a polished bookmark manager that stays inside Apple’s ecosystem: Anybox.
- You mainly read articles and want to pay once: GoodLinks.
- You save screenshots and PDFs as well as links, and want to search the text inside them: Tuck.

Prices are US App Store prices as listed in October 2026 and vary by region.
Raindrop.io
Raindrop.io is the most cross-platform option. It runs on the web, Windows and Android as well as Apple devices, has browser extensions, and supports sharing collections with other people. Paid plans add full-text search of saved pages and PDFs, a permanent web archive and an AI assistant.
The trade-offs: you need an account, your library is stored on Raindrop’s servers, and its help pages state that text inside images is not searchable because it has no OCR. Full-text search is a paid feature.
Anybox
Anybox is a native bookmark manager for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Vision Pro that syncs through iCloud. It saves links, images, files and notes, can archive pages as PDF or a web archive, and has Smart Lists that filter bookmarks by attributes such as site or date. The free plan holds up to 50 links, and there is a lifetime purchase.
GoodLinks
GoodLinks is a read-it-later app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Vision Pro. It has a clean reader, highlights and tags, syncs through iCloud and collects no data according to its App Store privacy label. It saves links, not screenshots or files. You pay once and get a year of new features, with an optional upgrade after that.
Tuck
Tuck saves links, screenshots, notes and files from any app’s share sheet on iPhone, iPad and Mac, and lets you find screenshots, PDFs and notes by the words in them.
- Text inside screenshots is searchable. Tuck reads screenshots with on-device text recognition, so you can find one by a word that appears in it.
- Search across screenshot text, PDF text, notes and link titles is part of the free plan. For links, Tuck searches the title and description, not the full article.
- Auto-Sort rules (Pro). Give a collection a few keywords and new saves that match are filed there automatically.
- No account. Your library stays on your devices and syncs through your own iCloud. Tuck has no servers of its own.
What Tuck does not do: it has no Windows, Android or web app, no browser extension beyond the system share sheet, and no offline copy of saved articles. It requires iOS 26 or macOS 26.
Moving your saves
- Raindrop.io imports Pocket exports directly, along with many other services.
- GoodLinks imports from Pocket, Raindrop, Anybox and browser bookmarks.
- Anybox has a Migration Assistant for browser bookmarks and other apps.
- Tuck imports bookmark files in the standard HTML format from Raindrop, Chrome, Safari and Firefox, and turns their folders into collections. Pocket’s final exports were CSV files, which Tuck does not read. If your Pocket library already moved to Raindrop or a browser, export it from there as HTML and import that file in Tuck under Settings → Import Bookmarks.
The takeaway
There is no single best Pocket replacement. Pick by where you need your library: everywhere (Raindrop.io), across Apple devices with a strong bookmark manager (Anybox), for reading (GoodLinks), or for links, screenshots and PDFs you want to search by their text (Tuck).
